4 months old

Hello my sweet,

You are officially 4 months old today and I am amazed by how different your features are now, and how much of a personality you have gotten. Your daddy and I cant help but laugh at the many things you do and the MANY faces you make. You have found that you really like the sound of your own voice, so you are constantly talking and yelling away. Now when I say yelling, its not an upset yell, its just you being loud, especially if you want attention. You will raise your eyebrows and make a crook-ed smile and then just yell and yell....its wayyyy to precious!

You had a very interesting and exciting month. It started with you getting a REALLY bad cold from your cousin Ashleigh. Mommy took you to the doctor and we found out you had an ear infection on top of it. Luckily, we got you on an antibiotic and had to wait it out. Thanksgiving morning you were coughing so hard that you couldnt catch a breath. We called the doctor to see if there was something we could give to help your cough, and the doctor told us to take you to the er...So on the morning of your very first thanksgiving, we spent an hour at all childrens hospital. Luckily, they said we were doing everyting right and you were actually almost all better. Thanksgiving dinner went well, Your Great-Grandma Wanda and Your Great-Uncle Perry came down to join us. Your daddy and I were so happy you got to meet your Great-grandma...especially, because she lives so far away from us.

We found out that Aunt Jessica and Uncle DJ are going to be having another little girl and she will be arriving in April some time...We also were blessed with your cousin Tilly as well...You are going to have two girl cousins around your age to grow up with...that is so exciting.

We decorated our house for christmas and you love all the christmas goodies that light up and make noise. Daddy did a great job decorating outside and you really like going out to see them at night.

We went on our FIRST Disney trip as a family and you did Sooooo well! We were able to take you on some of the rides and you were so amused by them. You LOVED "Its a small world" and "the hall of presidents". Mommy let you taste whipped creme for the first time too...you loved that. You were so amused by the lights and all the people.

You are now eating cereal and some baby food. You caught on really well on how to eat from a spoon. You have tried apple, prunes, and Pears so far...next its on to the veggies! We go to the doctor tomorrow for your 4 month checkup and for more shots...im sorry! I cant wait to see how much you have grown since the last visit.

Christmas is almost here and we are so excited to share in all the fun with you! We love you so much baby girl!

Love mommy!

3 months old

Well hello my princess,

Mommy cannot believe you are 3 months old already! You have filled mommys heart with so much joy and your daddy just cant get enough of you! You are consuming every ounce of love from our hearts and We are so willing to give it to you. We are starting to really get an idea of what kind of personality you are going to have. As much as I want you to be a mommy's girl, Im afraid you have alot of mommy's attitude too. Lets see, You are grumpy when you are tired and even more grumpy if you want to eat. You love to be entertained now, and If you are not getting our full attention, you demand it. You are smiling and interacting with us so much more now. You like to try and copy what we are doing. I taught you the indian game and you have so much fun with it and are starting to get louder and louder each time ..You crack us up! You are soooo extremely close to rolling over from your back to belly. You are bringing your legs up and over and you love to kick your toys on the mat. You are actually spending more time on your belly, but get aggrivated and want to flip over.

You went to the doctor because you had some bumps on your belly and it turned out that you have exema..Its not a very scary thing, it just means that you have dry and sensitive skin, so mommy and daddy need to make sure that we use special soaps and lotion to keep you moisturised. You scared mommy to death the other day, because you had a BAD reaction to a new shirt that I put on you. You screamed so loud, and mommy took your clothes off so fast and put you in the bath tub..Luckily, it worked baby girl! That was my first instinct..I guess mommy really does no best. We switched your formula to soy now, so we will see how that goes. Im hopeing that helps with your bumps too. I also tried you on a little bit of rice cereal, and I used a spoon. I was happy to see that you did great with it from the spoon, and did not gag or choke.. Daddy and I are going to introduce it to you very slowly. A little at a time, at lunch time.

You made it through your first Halloween, unfortunately it was very hot outside and you did not want to keep you costume on for more than 10 minutes...but I have to say, you were the cutest little lady bug. Mommy had to work that night, but you got to hang with your nana, papa, cousin Ashleigh, uncle Dj and Aunt jess! You are loved by so many people little girl!

We have gone on many playdates with stacia and cobe, and we finally got to see marcy and meet Kaiden. Right now, the playdates are really for us mommys, but its going to be really soon, when you will be able to play with your little friends. Mommy and Stacia brought you and Cobe to Gymboree, which is a play gym. You two were adorable together....You just stared at cobe for the longest time. You started to get fussy, then the teacher blew some magic bubbles and you were amazed. Mommy of course, had to buy them.

I love you so much buggie, I cant wait to see what you are gonna do next!

Love mommy!

If only you could tell me what was wrong?

Dear Buggie,

You gave mommy such a hard time today! It all started after our lunch date with your Nana. We went to Burlington Coat factory to do some shopping and wait for Auntie Tiff to show up. You all of a sudden started to cry so loud I thought the baby toys were going to fall off the shelf. I took you out of your stroller to try and console you and couldnt. We went and changed your diaper because Daddy and I know you hate to be wet, but that didnt help. Mommy tried to distract you with toys and bright objects in the store, but you still screamed. You were still about an hour from when you should eat again, but mommy tried to give you a bottle. We plopped down in one of the gliders they had for sale and I tried to rock you to sleep...DIDNT WORK! A lady that worked in the baby department came over and had this look on her face. I felt like a horrible mommy and I was so embarresed that you were screaming. The lady suggested that I put you on my legs and rock you...Didnt help...I just kept apologizing to her. Luckily she understood and said she'd rather it be a new baby than a spoiled two year old screaming because they want a toy...Wow! Anyways, I put you back in your carseat/stroller and we headed out! Once I got you moving you fell asleep...whoo...I thought and took a deep breath! Luckily, you slept in the car until we got home, and then off you went again. I changed you again, I let you finish the bottle we started and then I rocked you in my arms and you fell asleep. You slept on me for about 45 mins so I decided I was going to put you down in your bed to finish your nap...BIG MISTAKE! You woke up and the screaming began again...Your legs were tight, your belly was hard...I knew you must have had a tummy ache...You had already gone poopy a couple of times in the morning. I tried rubbing your belly for a little while and you calmed down! I put you on your playmat and you became a happy girl for about 20 mins. You were talking and hitting your toys and were all smiles..then you fell asleep! I decided I was just going to let you sleep where you were. After you woke up it was on again....not really time for bath and bed yet, so mom did everything to try and calm you...we were walking around the house, mommy was singing to you, I even layed you on your changing table so that you could talk to Mrs. Flower (your light) You calmed down instantly and just chatted and smiled away at her...then you got annoyed again and started to scream... I gave you a little bit of tylenol and that seemed to help whatever was causing your pain. It was bath time by this point...which of course you loved..then pjs and a bottle...you finally fell asleep and it was time for bed.....

That was probably one of the hardest days of my life..I felt like I had just climbed a huge mountain and once I got to the top..I just took a deeeeepppp breath! I was exhausted once daddy got home..and I just started to cry! If only you could tell me what was wrong, it is such a guessing game with you little girl. But dont worry, I will do everything and anything no matter what to figure it out!

Mommy loves you!

2 months

Hello to my sweet baby girl,

You are a little over two months now and my how you have grown. Today we took you to your 2 month checkup and for your first set of shots (sorry baby). You have grown to a whopping 12lbs 5 ounces and are now 22 inches long. You have basically doubled your weight over a months time...Mommy is so excited because you are getting closer and closer to being able to wear ALL the really cute 3-6 month size clothes. For some reason, you have a TON of that size and not to many of what you can actually wear now. So this means you have to wear some outfits over and over again...I know, I kept saying you would wear a new outfit everyday, but mommy hasnt won the lottery yet...believe me, if that ever happend, you would have a closet the size of our house. You are doing so many new things now! You have started to really coo and talk to us now and your smiles are absolutely the cutest thing ever. Your absolute FAVORITE thing of all time is bath time...You kick and splash and laugh while you are in there and then get so mad at mommy when its time to get out. Daddy and I hoped you would love the water and boy do you!

You still eat pretty much the same amount as before, but now you have decided that you like to play with the nipple on your bottle..You chew on it like its a piece of bubble gum..Its kinda funny, but not when its 3am and mommy or daddy would really like to be sleeping. Speaking of sleep, You had us hopeful for a split second that you were going to be sleeping through the nights now..You slept for 8 hours strait two days in a row..I have to say thanks for that by the way...It helped daddy and I get some much needed sleep! But, you have decided that you werent ready to continue with that all the time..I think you just missed seeing us in the middle of the night:) You have started to hold objects in your hand, but your still working on the control of your hands. You have hit yourself in the head with your rattle a couple of times..Luckily, not hard enough to hurt you though.
Mommy had to go back to work when you were 6 weeks old, and that was a very hard thing for me to do. I wanted to be able to stay with you every day and keep you safe, but unfortunately I cant. We are very lucky to have your grandma vikki, your nana and your grandma's help on the days that daddy and I cant be home with you. Mommy was so afraid that you werent going to do well without her, but you did and still are..Some days you give your nana and your daddy a little bit of a hard time, but all in all..you are a pretty good girl for everyone. Mommy has taken you on 3 playdates so far with stacia and Cobe. We have gone for a walk at seminole park and we have gone shopping/walking at two different malls already. Mommy loves going to the playdates with stacia. We get to talk grown up talk, about you and cobe and your daddy's:)

You went to your very first birthday party for little miss Ava recently...Your Bestie Elyse was there with dillon and Aunt Kelly! Also, your Boyfriend Cobe and his mommy Stacia and Kyle came as well. You decided that you didnt like wind that day and became very upset. Aunt kelly calmed you down for mommy and got you to fall asleep. You slept pretty much the entire time at the party in your little stroller cave... The night before the party, Your aunt Kelly and I took pictures of you and Elyse in your Ladybug costumes..You girls were both way past your bedtime and were not happy campers. But, I have to say, you two were still the cutest little lady-bugs ever.

Well baby girl, Im looking forward to all your new things to come over this next month!
Mommy loves you very much!

1 month old

My Precious Amberly!

It is so hard to believe that you are a MONTH old already! The past few weeks have been a complete whorl-wind of emotions for your mommy and daddy. We have had to learn and adapt to your inconsistent schedule of sleeping, eating, and pooping. The first week you were home, we were very lucky to have your Nana here to help us. Daddy had to go back to work the day after we brought you home. If it wasn't for Nana, mommy wouldn't have gotten any rest. You went to your first trip to see Dr. Pai and mommy was so nervous. You were sound asleep in your car seat, and didn't even hear the poor kids screaming in the back office. I felt so bad, and told myself that Daddy was going to be the one to bring you for your shots. I don't think I could handle it to see you cry. Your visit went great! You weighed 6lbs 8oz and were 19 1/2 inches long. You were Perfect! You had your first QUICK trip to target that day too. Mommy and Nana had to pick up some stuff for you. I think about it now, and realize I was crazy to have taken you out that soon, but luckily, you didn't catch some crazy disease or catch a cold! You met so many people that first week! Almost, ALL of your family came to see you! Your Auntie SKO came down from Jacksonville and you gave her a great poopy diaper to change right when she got to our house! You were so tiny that first week..Daddy was still VERY careful when changing your diaper, dressing you, or holding you. He thought he was going to break you! You would get so mad at him, and fuss because he was taking to long to change you! He has gotten to be a pro at that now!

You were sleeping all the time the first two weeks! You didn't want to open your eyes for more than 20 Min's at a time it seemed like. You were however, able to lift and control your head pretty well. I couldn't believe it. You went to your first trip to Carmelita's and had lunch with your Nana and papa, Aunt Jo Jo and Uncle Karl and of course your mommy! You did so good! Again, Mommy doesn't know what she was thinking to take you to a dirty old restaurant with tons of people! You got to meet your Godparents Aunt Kelly and Uncle Aaron..and your pre-arranged besties Elyse and Dillon! Mommy and Aunt Kelly tortured you and Elyse with the first of many photo ops wearing matching outfits! We went and saw Dr pai again when you were 2 weeks old. Mommy of course had a long list of questions for him by then. You had so many different things going on. Mommy thought you had a cold, but luckily you didn't. We did however have to use the blue sucky thing on your nose to get boogies out. You hate that thing! You weighed 7lbs 13oz and were 20 1/2 inches long. You had gained 1lb 50z and grew an inch! You were such a little piglet! Already eating 2-3 ounces at a time.

Over the next couple weeks, you were so much more alert! Staying awake longer periods of time throughout the day and at night you started getting up only 1-2 times instead of every 2 hours. Daddy gets up to feed you the 1st time and Mommy does the second time. Your belly button had finally came off when you were 2 1/2 weeks. I was so excited to be able to give you a normal bath. Your daddy and I want to make sure that you LOVE the water. Which I am so happy to tell you that you do! You get a bath every night at 7:30 and you LOVE it. Even if you are fussing before you get in, you instantly calm down and scoot yourself down so you are really in the water. Its so cute! You also recently decided that you like your swing! You weren't to sure of it before. You love to lay on your play mat and make the music go by kicking the lever with your feet. On Monday 9/13 you smiled AT your Mommy and Daddy for the first time! Our hearts both melted. All I was doing was talking to you and you just started smiling away...I yelled for your daddy that came running in wearing his towel and all. He started talking to you and you started smiling at him too. Now its not just us that you smile at! You are getting so big and so fast! As much as we want to see you experience ALL of your FIRSTS..We are sad that it is all happening so fast!

Your Mommy and Daddy are soooo very blessed to call you our daughter! WE LOVE YOU WITH EVERY INCH OF OUR HEARTS!

love you buggie

9 months

Dear baby girl,

I want to start off by saying that I love you so much already! I have been so blessed to carry you and keep you safe over the past 9 months. Mommy, has had a very difficult time, but would do it all over again to keep you growing strong and healthy. When your daddy and I found out we were pregnant, we could hardly contain our excitement. I called your god momma Kelly 1st and then your Auntie sko. They were trying to help us figure out a way to tell your nana and papa that you were on your way! We went to there house, and as can be expected Nana screamed and cried. unfortunately, Your grandma was out of town, so we werent able to tell her in person. Daddy called her on the phone and she too got very excited and cried. You are a little miracle that has been dreamt about for a very long time.

During the 1st 3 months of your growth, mommy was very sick. It was very hard for me to eat or drink anything. I had to go to the hospital a couple of times to get IV's. The good part about one of those trips was...We got to find out wether you were a little boy or little girl. When the nurses said It's a girl...Mommy started to cry and daddy teared up too. We were both very excited and we already had your name picked out...AMBERLY JEAN MILLER! It was so nice to be able to start calling you by your name. Amberly is a name that your nana and I heard a long time ago, Jean comes from your Nanny Lovette and Great Grandma Oliver.

The next 3 months seemed to be a breeze. You did alot of your growing during this time. When mommy was about 41/2 or 5 months you began to move. Everyone said it would feel like a flutter and thats exactly what it was. Then one night daddy was talking to you in mommys belly and when he stopped you gave mommy your first kick. I was so surprised that it made me jump. Daddy was very excited when I told him what you did. He began to talk to you again and the same thing happend when he stopped. You kicked again. That was such a great feeling. From that time on, mommy could feel your movements and kicks get stronger and stronger. Poor daddy though, could not feel you move yet from the outside. It took a couple more weeks until he was able to feel you. Nana was very excited to feel you too. She started to sing her "nana song" to my belly at this time. She wants to make sure you say Nana pretty early on and not wait like your cousin Ashleigh did. Speaking of Ashleigh, She cant wait to meet you. She talks to you through my belly all the time. She wants to feed you and change you, and cant wait to play with you.

We had a very big scare when you were at 31 weeks in mommys tummy. I woke up thinking you were going to make a very early arrival. Daddy and I went to the hospital to find out that you werent coming early, but that mommy had to have her appendix out. I was so scared that something was going to happen to you. We had alot of people praying for us during this time and you stayed so strong. You were not ready to come yet, which even though I wanted to meet you, I was so grateful for. While mommy was recovering, you made it a little difficult for me. You were so active in mommys belly, which made me smile because I knew you were ok, but also made mommy a bit uncomfortable. Luckily, everything has healed up great and you are still growing strong. During this time, You gained a nickname from mommy "Buggie". While in my tummy you started to tickle mommy with your fingers which reminded me of a lady bugs legs. You are probably going to hate me calling you that...but you will forever be my "Buggie".

Mommy is now 4 weeks away from your due date of August 24th. We had your baby shower over the weekend and let me tell you little girl...There are so many people that love you already! Mommy and Daddy were very blessed by many family and friends with everything we could possibly need for your arrival. Daddy has already built all the big things, and they have overcome the living room. We stare at it everynight and just talk about what your going to look like and who's personality your going to have. Mommy has been a bit emotional lately. I have waited for you for so long. Being a mommy has been something I have dreamt about all my life. Now that its getting close, mommy has been getting a little nervous. I want to make sure I do everything right for you. You have become my LIFE already, and I havent even met you yet. I go into your beautiful nursery and just gaze at everything. I imagine you in your crib, your daddy and I changing your diaper and dressing you in all the pretty clothes hanging in your closet. We have packed your diaper bag for the hospital already, I was having a hard time choosing the perfect outfit for you to come home in. Luckily, When we were washing your laundry, we came across a cute little outfit that you got as a gift. It is an adorable dress with butterflies all over it. It is perfect!

We are so excited to meet you baby girl! It is getting so close now. Your Daddy and I love you so much and are so looking forward to you to bring such joy to our lives.

xoxoxo
