Dear baby girl,
I want to start off by saying that I love you so much already! I have been so blessed to carry you and keep you safe over the past 9 months. Mommy, has had a very difficult time, but would do it all over again to keep you growing strong and healthy. When your daddy and I found out we were pregnant, we could hardly contain our excitement. I called your god momma Kelly 1st and then your Auntie sko. They were trying to help us figure out a way to tell your nana and papa that you were on your way! We went to there house, and as can be expected Nana screamed and cried. unfortunately, Your grandma was out of town, so we werent able to tell her in person. Daddy called her on the phone and she too got very excited and cried. You are a little miracle that has been dreamt about for a very long time.
During the 1st 3 months of your growth, mommy was very sick. It was very hard for me to eat or drink anything. I had to go to the hospital a couple of times to get IV's. The good part about one of those trips was...We got to find out wether you were a little boy or little girl. When the nurses said It's a girl...Mommy started to cry and daddy teared up too. We were both very excited and we already had your name picked out...AMBERLY JEAN MILLER! It was so nice to be able to start calling you by your name. Amberly is a name that your nana and I heard a long time ago, Jean comes from your Nanny Lovette and Great Grandma Oliver.
The next 3 months seemed to be a breeze. You did alot of your growing during this time. When mommy was about 41/2 or 5 months you began to move. Everyone said it would feel like a flutter and thats exactly what it was. Then one night daddy was talking to you in mommys belly and when he stopped you gave mommy your first kick. I was so surprised that it made me jump. Daddy was very excited when I told him what you did. He began to talk to you again and the same thing happend when he stopped. You kicked again. That was such a great feeling. From that time on, mommy could feel your movements and kicks get stronger and stronger. Poor daddy though, could not feel you move yet from the outside. It took a couple more weeks until he was able to feel you. Nana was very excited to feel you too. She started to sing her "nana song" to my belly at this time. She wants to make sure you say Nana pretty early on and not wait like your cousin Ashleigh did. Speaking of Ashleigh, She cant wait to meet you. She talks to you through my belly all the time. She wants to feed you and change you, and cant wait to play with you.
We had a very big scare when you were at 31 weeks in mommys tummy. I woke up thinking you were going to make a very early arrival. Daddy and I went to the hospital to find out that you werent coming early, but that mommy had to have her appendix out. I was so scared that something was going to happen to you. We had alot of people praying for us during this time and you stayed so strong. You were not ready to come yet, which even though I wanted to meet you, I was so grateful for. While mommy was recovering, you made it a little difficult for me. You were so active in mommys belly, which made me smile because I knew you were ok, but also made mommy a bit uncomfortable. Luckily, everything has healed up great and you are still growing strong. During this time, You gained a nickname from mommy "Buggie". While in my tummy you started to tickle mommy with your fingers which reminded me of a lady bugs legs. You are probably going to hate me calling you that...but you will forever be my "Buggie".
Mommy is now 4 weeks away from your due date of August 24th. We had your baby shower over the weekend and let me tell you little girl...There are so many people that love you already! Mommy and Daddy were very blessed by many family and friends with everything we could possibly need for your arrival. Daddy has already built all the big things, and they have overcome the living room. We stare at it everynight and just talk about what your going to look like and who's personality your going to have. Mommy has been a bit emotional lately. I have waited for you for so long. Being a mommy has been something I have dreamt about all my life. Now that its getting close, mommy has been getting a little nervous. I want to make sure I do everything right for you. You have become my LIFE already, and I havent even met you yet. I go into your beautiful nursery and just gaze at everything. I imagine you in your crib, your daddy and I changing your diaper and dressing you in all the pretty clothes hanging in your closet. We have packed your diaper bag for the hospital already, I was having a hard time choosing the perfect outfit for you to come home in. Luckily, When we were washing your laundry, we came across a cute little outfit that you got as a gift. It is an adorable dress with butterflies all over it. It is perfect!
We are so excited to meet you baby girl! It is getting so close now. Your Daddy and I love you so much and are so looking forward to you to bring such joy to our lives.
